Dr. Kim Nguyen Director of LSAMP-Indiana at IUPUI Dr. Kim Nguyen has been with IUPUI since 1985. Her administrative work extended from the Office of Student Financial Aid, School of Nursing, and currently in the School of Science. Her professional interests include student learning and the factors that affect student persistence in college, especially student retention issues in the math, science, engineering, and technology fields. She is also very interested in math and science learning and teaching in K-12. Dr. Nguyen has served as a mentor to a number of students who are considered under-represented in higher education. |

Dr. Marchusa Huff (retired) Associate Professor, Department of Environments for Health Areas of expertise are classroom and clinical teaching, Web-based course development and teaching of perioperative nursing. Research interests include minority nurse leadership development, minority student persistence in college and teaching and learning issues. As a faculty at Indiana University, she serves as course coordinator and teacher and has received grant funding for teaching and mentoring and was awarded Ameritech Fellows grant in 2000 to fund development of a web-based perioperative nursing elective course. |
